Confined Space Entry
In order to perform maintenance or repair work, it is often necessary to enter confined spaces.
Confined spaces are typically found in tanks, pipelines, container vessels, sewers, pipelines or manholes.
Generally, any place where there’s a limited space or a lack of ventilation requires continuous gas detection to lower the risk of working in a hazardous environment.
Checks are required prior to entry and during operations such as welding.
Multiple-gas detectors with sampling pumps and accessories, such as hoses and probes, are recommended.
After a successful measurement where no hazards have been found, the same devices can then be used for continuous personal monitoring while working within the confined spaces.
Detector tubes are also suitable for spot measurements.
