The environics series 4040 is a computerised gas dilution system that automatically generates precise gas standards for multi-point calibration for gas analysers. It can produce gas concentrations from percent to parts per billion levels for single or multi-point calibration, ensuring that it meets the EPA methods.

The system consists of two components: the Series 4040 instrument and the user’s personal computer. The user interface is a Microsoft Windows application that communicates with the Environics system via an RS232 serial interface. The interface is user friendly allowing for a customisable system meaning that the user can easily select frequently used gas cylinders, with four different operating types to choose from the user can be sure to make the most of the Environics 4040.
