The BM25 area gas monitor is designed for team protection or area surveillance where fixed detection systems are not suitable. The unit is most suitable in applications for perimeter monitoring, rig overhauls, and plant shutdowns.

Why use the BM25?

The BM25 packs the benefits of a fixed-system area monitor into an easily transportable, yet rugged instrument, which is capable of monitoring from one to five gases through diffusion or sample draw.

Choose From 18 Gas Sensors

There are now 18 interchangeable “smart” sensor options available for the BM25, making the system easily adaptable to a variety of applications and industries.

Multiple Alarm System

When the BM25 detects a hazardous level of oxygen, toxic or combustible gas, the top-mounted beacon sends a flashing, bright signal in all directions while emitting a powerful, 103 dB siren alarm.

Long-Lasting Power Supply

The BM25 comes standard with a high capacity nickelmetal-hydride battery pack offering up to 170 hours of continuous runtime. Long-term area monitoring is possible in hazardous locations with an intrinsically safe trickle charge power supply. Also standard are STEL and TWA readings and nearly four months of datalogging capacity for a five-gas configuration.

• Interchangeable/field replaceable sensors. Provides flexibility of monitoring in a variety of applications. Reduces operating costs and downtime associated with instrument/sensor service.

• High capacity nickel-metal-hydride battery pack. Provides long runtimes, up to 170 hours, in continuous monitoring applications.

• Intrinsically safe remote power supply. Provides for continuous runtime in hazardous locations through connection to 110/230 volt power mains in a safe area.

• Simultaneous display of all gases monitored. Provides confidence and ease of use for the operator to view all gas readings immediately at a single glance and allows for uninterrupted work time.

• 103dB @ 1meter audible alarm. Produces clear warning of unsafe conditions in high noise area monitoring applications and environments.

• Ultra-bright 360º visual alarm beacon. Twenty ultra-bright LEDs provide clear visual indication of alarms, viewable in all environments, from all directions.

• Optional external parasitic sampling pump. Allows the monitor to be used both for remote sampling applications in confined spaces providing clear alarm signaling to the area outside of the confined space.

• Stand-up design. Allows unit to be placed on any flat surface to provide stand-alone area surveillance and protection.

• Concave face design and construction. Ensures that sensors are protected and not blocked from the atmosphere in the event that the instrument is knocked on its face or side in a chaotic work environment.

• Dual output relays. Allow for connection to remote alarm and fault indication devices to provide additional warning indications in continuous area monitoring applications.

• Alarm transfer function. Allows units to function as alarm relay devices, communicating dangerous conditions to workers in a surrounding environment.

• Manual alarm activation input. Provides ability for manual activation of the unit’s alarm in a work area to request emergency assistance or signal other works of dangerous conditions.

• Continuous datalogging and STEL/TWA functions. Provides realtime data exposure analysis and record keeping. Allows unit to be used in an area to collect industrial hygiene survey data as well as provide area protection and surveillance.

• IP66 Ingress Protection rating. Allows unit to be used for continuous monitoring applications in harsh outdoor environments without damage from dust and water.
