Fall Arrest Blocks with Rescue / Retrieval

When a person suffers an accident such as loss of consciousness, they need to be rescued quickly and safely.

A fall arrest rescue block or a Self-Retracting Lifeline (SRL) is mounted to a rescue tripod or an overhead anchor point. The inbuilt inertia wheel recovery mechanism can be engaged by pulling the pin on the side of the block and engaging a winding handle. This then allows the device to be used to lift or to lower the casualty to safety and can be used as a retracting device to pull the person back up to safety.

Alternatively, a second person can be clipped-in to ascent into the shaft to rescue the injured person.

Fall arrest rescue blocks are fitted with a steelrope lifeline within a rugged aluminium housing. Steelropes are available in various lengths from 12m to 65m
