a1-cbiss are supporting Claire House and we’ve set ourselves a target of £7,000 as this buys one full day of funding.
Claire House is a hospice for young children and adults in Northwest England, it is a ten bedded hospice, but due to the current financial climate, can only afford to open eight of the ten beds meaning many local families will not be able to access the care and support they need from Claire House.
We understand that this seems like a high target but it is also a target that we believe is achievable.
So how will we go about achieving our target?
In November this year a team of a1-cbiss’ employees will be taking part in Tough Mudder, a grueling 12 mile obstacle course designed by the SAS. The Tough Mudder course is designed to test all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. All proceeds from this will go straight to Claire House.
For the members of staff that don’t quite have the mentality required for tough mudder, there will be a sponsored 15 mile coastal walk. This event is organised by Claire House and takes place in late May along the coast of the Wirral.
We’ve also set up a donation page so we can keep track of our progress, which you can find here.
