Port of Liverpool Health Authority

The Conference will be held on the 8th -10th September 2015 at the Liverpool Marriott Hotel based in the City Centre of Liverpool, home to the Liverpool Maritime Mercantile City, a designated World Heritage Site.

The Association of Port Health Authorities is the only UK wide organisation representing the interests of Local Authorities and Port Health Authorities with responsibilities for health controls at sea and airports.

Port health authorities are constituted with the primary objective of preventing the introduction into the country of dangerous epidemic, contagious and infectious diseases and ensuring the wholesomeness of imported food.

The Conference will look at emerging international health concerns, the increase in food crime and fraud and will examine the existing schemes that are in place to ensuring effective enforcement in the challenging times ahead.
