Introducing Oldham’s Wireless BM 25

by | Jun 6, 2014 | Gas Detection, Personal Safety

We’re pleased to announce the launch of the exciting new Wireless version of the five-sensor area gas monitor – the BM 25.

Building on the reliability and functionality of the ever popular BM 25, the new wireless technology provides a new level of freedom and flexibility to this gas area monitor.

Using the Wireless BM 25 you can significantly reduce the operating costs of network, installation and wiring. Adding a BM 25 on an existing network has never been so easy! Simply turn the accompanying BM 25 on and it is automatically added to the network, providing all round safety and surveillance.

The Wireless BM25 utilises smart MESH network topology to provide uninterrupted signal – even in the face of obstacles up to 0.6miles away. In a mesh network all hosts are connected peer-to-peer without central hierarchy, thereby forming a net-like structure. Each node can receive, send and relay data and this avoids having sensitive points, which in case of failure, disrupts the connection of the network. If a node is down, it simply goes through another route.

What’s more, you can have 16 individual networks and up to 30 devices per individual network! So if you like, that’s a grand total of 420 BM 25’s all relaying information back to each other, that means when just one BM25 alarms, the other 419 will alarm with it, and with a powerful 103db alarm and a large flashing beacon you can be sure to hear it over noisy background machinery and see it from a distance.

If you’re attending this years Safety and Health Expo you can be the first to see exclusive live demos of the Wireless BM 25 on our stand L2055 – We hope to see you there!
