Tank-Pro Multi-Gas Detector
Description
Crowcon Tank-Pro is a multi-gas detector which has been designed to monitor the level of gas in inert environments.
Testing the contents of a tank, container or other enclosed flammable store might:
- Not have oxygen present
- Have high levels of H2S, silicones or other sensor ‘poisoning’ chemicals present
- Have flammable concentrations of >100% LEL
Dual infra-red (IR) Sensor
- Doesn’t rely on Oxygen to be present to work
- Doesn’t poison in the presence of H2S, silicones and other compounds that damage traditional pellistors
Tank-Pro uses IR sensor technology to reliably monitor confined spaces. IR sensors are not inhibited by high hydrocarbon concentrations and don’t require oxygen to work. Unlike single IR sensors, the dual nature of this sensor enables it to cope with gas in high %vol as well as %LEL concentration.
Tank-Pro Features
This portable multigas detector, which is exceptionally easy to use and service, protects against the four most prevalent gas hazards: carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen sulphide (H2S), flammable gases and oxygen (O2) depletion.
An integrated sampling pump quickly draws gas samples from lines up to 30 metres long, so tanks can be checked quickly. This is ideal when the atmosphere that needs sampling is a long walk or climb away.
Weight – Tank-Pro weights just 340g, making it one of the lightest tank-checking products on the market. It’s light enough to be clipped to a belt or overalls, and can also be carried over the shoulder.
Ingress Protection – Well protected from water ingress through IP65 and IP67 certification, Tank-Pro allows uninterrupted working in the most demanding environments.
13 hour battery – With a battery life of 13 hours, Tank-Pro allows longer shifts to be worked between recharging.
Safety at a glance – A bright, clear top mount display makes it easy to read at a glance.
Easy operation – Large single button and intuitive menu system minimise training and allow easy operation while wearing gloves.
Multiple alarms – Bright red and blue LEDS, a 95-decibel alarm, and vibrating alerts provide a clear and effective warning to gas hazards.
