Our Charity Work
Working with local charities is an integral part of our values as a company. At a1-cbiss, we offer our support through fundraising campaigns, donations and by giving up our own time.
In December 2022, we adopted Breakfast for Primary School Children as our Christmas charity organised by New Brighton Coastal Community Team.
The generosity of our staff means we’ve managed to raise a whopping £578 beating the primary target of £500.
Our contribution will be a big boost to the £2000 that the Community Team are hoping to raise.
As Karen Illingworth of a1-cbiss handed over the funds, her comment to the Community Team chair…”We do hope you are able to ensure local primary school children get their breakfast next year which enhances their learning.”
Owen McVeigh
a1-cbiss have been supporting the Owen McVeigh Foundation for several years.
This Foundation was set up in memory of Owen McVeigh who was only 11 years old when he passed away after a short diagnosis with leukaemia.
The purpose of the charity is to offer help and support to families where children are seriously ill with cancer, creating lifetime memories for children who live in and around the Liverpool and Wirral area.
Christmas Toy & Food Hamper Appeal
Each Christmas, a1-cbiss support the Charles Thompson Mission in Birkenhead with their food hamper and toy appeal.
The mission supports local families living in poverty with a food parcel and toys for the kids that may otherwise receive nothing.
So far, it’s been a huge success, and we’re looking forward to working with them again next Christmas.
MacMillan Coffee Mornings
We regularly host MacMillan coffee mornings. Thanks to the generosity of our team, we raise more than £200 each event.
Each event has a different theme.
Most recently, we held a ‘Name the Caterpillar Cake’ competition. The winner with the most correct guesses walked away with a luxury hamper whilst everyone enjoyed eating the cakes.
