Dave Paes

What is a Project You’re Proud Of?

The first project Dave worked on was an upgrade to an existing system. While the upgrade was minor, he’s relishing the responsibility despite only having been at a1-cbiss for a short period. Dave’s feeling optimistic about eventually taking on bigger projects because he’s demonstrated the required level of knowledge and dependability to deliver.

What Would You Like to Achieve?

Dave wants to learn all he can about the many systems a1-cbiss offers, becoming a knowledge powerhouse and be the “go-to person” for all things CEMS and Gas Detection.

What Do You Like About a1-cbiss?

Like many, Dave believes that he received a warm welcome when he joined a1-cbiss and has felt supported by all members of staff, not just in the Design department. Despite Dave’s incessant questions, everyone has shown patience to help him develop quickly and efficiently. Dave feels like there is room to grow and will be supported throughout his professional journey.

What Did You Do Before a1-cbiss?

Before a1-cbiss, his previous engineering role was as an Electrical Design Engineer in the marine sector based on Liverpool Waterfront. Dave’s responsibilities there included the complete electrical design of Rigid-Hulled Inflatable Boats (RHIBS) for Military, Civil and Patrol Forces.

What’s Your Life Ambitions or Hobbies?

Dave aspires to one day become a Senior Engineer, taking on more responsibility, and proving to himself and others he has the capabilities and skills to match.

He’s currently dabbling in video editing and home brewing. Previously, Dave taught himself mini “Skills” such as Rubik’s Cube, Yo-Yo, Balisong and Lock Picking.

“My life ambition is not so much to achieve a goal, but rather to enjoy the journey”
