Introducing Our First Ireland-Based Engineer

by | Apr 4, 2023 | Uncategorized

Introduction

As the first and only Irish engineer on our a1-cbiss service team, Tom Kennedy has made a significant impact on our customer experience. With Tom as a permanent engineer in Ireland, we have seen considerable improvements in our response times.

The eight sites under Tom’s responsibility have greatly benefited from his dedicated efforts to understand and meet their unique needs.

Tom’s Responsibilities and Achievements

Tom is responsible for servicing eight sites which are spread across Northern and Southern Ireland.
He services continuous emissions monitoring analysers, oxygen probes, QAL dust probes and flow probes at power generation companies and energy from waste management.

In addition, there’s two production sites have MX43 panels and Innova 1341i analysers that require service and calibration.

Currently, his proudest project is O2 cell upgrades on two separate sites. This was a new project to turn his hand to and different to the usual service work, so he was very proud when it was completed.

Who is Tom Kennedy?

Proud to be from Northern Ireland, Tom enjoys a Guinness (he can’t say otherwise, right?) and Tayto crisps. Life in Ireland with his cat and pet ferret isn’t all that bad, bar the weather and the lack of sun.

His customers regularly praise him. Our service coordinators love his can-do attitude. He’s found it straightforward to turn his hand to service engineering having qualified as a mechanic and went on to work for BMW, Mini and Lexus plus a company specialising in car modifications.

Tom’s life ambitions would be to travel more and to learn another language in addition to French and German learnt in school.
